Just yesterday, after years of waiting and watching for just the right guitar to come available at a reasonable price, I was blessed with my first FENDER Stratocaster.
What a beautiful axe I found once again at the Guitar Center in Glen Burnie, MD. That place has become my good luck charm when it comes to locating guitars that are just what I‘m looking for at the time and at the price range I can deal with. My new STRAT was another trade-in that just arrived when I stopped in to pick-up one of my guitars that Nik (from the GC Garage) was working on for me.
As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the one I wanted. I played it for a few minutes and then that sealed the deal. It has the sweetest Rosewood neck and it plays so well. I’ve strung it with my favorite D’Addario strings; a little heavier than what was on there at the time I purchased it, so it really bites when you play The Blues or Southern Rock.
I’ve been channeling ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons and working on “La Grange” since I brought my Strat home, and it sounds amazing! It’s back to the practice studio for me for the rest of the evening.
I hope that you enjoy your night as much as I am enjoying mine. Thanks for reading, and don’t forget to hug your kids! Until next time . . . . . . .
Bob
