About

Hello! My name is by Bob, and I am 'Musician By Night'. I spend my days earning a living with the rest of the world, but my nights belong to my music. I'm an accomplished guitarist with a passion for Southern-Blues, Blues-Rock, Smooth-Jazz & Jazz-Rock Fusion and of course good ole' Classic Rock and Roll.  My idols are Lee Ritenour, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Earl Klugh, Eric Johnson, Joe Bonamassa and of course Al DiMeola.

This blog is where I'll share with all of you what I'm working on, the lesson plans that I suggest for starter guitarist's, music that I'm playing & listening to, short stories or posts about professional guitarist's, new equipment available in the market, what's inspiring me and much, much, more. Specifically, I will be doing research on the original southern blues artists from the late 1800's until today. I'll also be doing the same for the original rock-n-roll guitarists who swept our nation and changed the shape of music forever.

I also have a wonderful support system behind me from my better half Anita, who is following her own dream by focusing on vintage clothing, sewing, photography and green living. She writes a fabulous blog: http://sewvintagesofun.blogspot.com.
Please take some time and check it out for yourself, I believe you’ll love it. I’m very proud of her . . .

Back in the late 70's, I played in a band called JORDAN, focusing on heavy funk, dance and rock music in addition to slow R&B ballads. We went from playing high school dances to dive bars and onto Holiday Inn & Hilton circuits where we played 6-7 nights a week. Now after 34 years of being somewhat stagnant with my music, I've decided to get back into the mainstream in the Metro DC market and see what I can do with my talent once again.

Also, through my NEW website (www.MusicianByNight.com) and my Blog, I hope to reach as many music lovers as possible so that ‘Musician By Night’ will be well known before I actually hit the stage wherever I debut. This time I am really determined, and have been dedicating my rehearsal time on playing some good ole' southern (delta or Mississippi) blues, blues-rock and jazz-rock fusion if possible. I really love Al Di Meola's music . . . but!

Thanks for stopping by; I really hope you enjoy it . . . . . . . .
